Post-round write-ups from the commissioner
TONAWANDA, NY - After League officials received several anonymous complaints regarding Chris Wilkinson’s pre-putting “shenanigans”, league officials have convened and have a FINAL ruling regarding pre-putting the night of a Major.
The PIH Executive Committee has received an Expedited Ruling from the Rules Committee in response to concerns regarding pre-putting for a subsequent week prior to a Major Championship.
The Rules Committee has determined that such action is contrary to the spirit and intention of the “Pre-Putting” rules as contained in the “Rules of PIH.” The respected committee has determined that any pre-putting the night of a Major for a subsequent week must occur after the Major Championship.
Any violation of this rule shall result in that putters major round being discarded.
The committee went on to say their ruling was to ensure the integrity of this prestigious league is maintained.
The PIH league commissioner thanks the Rules Committee for handing down an expedited ruling and look forward to The Masters in week-3.
Anyone interested in filing an appeal to this ruling may do so directly to the newly appointed and yet to be informed of said position, Appellate Committee President, Scott Wilson. He will surely be honored to discuss this matter directly with you.
