Weekly Recaps
Post-round write-ups from the commissioner
(This is a guest author submission from John Coyle and other than the final paragraph has not been altered in any way by PIH site editors)

ANKARA, TURKEY – When, in the course of putting history, opportunities are presented which alter the very balance of power in the putting world, it becomes necessary for putters to reach for their potential and seek redress for geographical slurs put forth by the Putter-In-Hand (hereafter “PIH”) Commissioner. The below named members of the PIH TOUR, having suffered the slings and arrows of the PIH Commissioner’s weekly barbs far too often to be considered coincidence, have been presented greener pastures and better putting conditions.
The Turkish Invitational Thursday Series (hereafter “T.I.T.S.”) is an exciting new venture which seeks to change the very nature of putting as you know it. Played over a course of only 12 holes per week, with players playing via shotgun start, T.I.T.S. will offer a new and vibrant product for putting fans the world over. Not only will drinking during the round be encouraged, but every beer finished by a member of T.I.T.S., will result in one stroke being reduced from the member’s final score.
Additionally, weekly purses on T.I.T.S. will be paid in a 2-fold format. The weekly purse itself will be in excess of $215 TD (Turkish Dollars), thereby exciting fans young and old to follow key putts on the 11th and 12th holes to determine the weekly winners. Additionally, T.I.T.S. Putters will receive a share of the purse for most hole-in-ones, least penalty strokes, and most beers consumed. Finally, each winner of a series event will take home the coveted Gold T.I.T.S. Championship Jacket.
This revolutionary product seeks to glorify the stars of the putting world rather than operate solely for the benefit of the PIH commissioner, as has been the case for far too long on the PIH TOUR. Players on T.I.T.S will be encouraged to monetize their own brand and will also engage in a series-long team venture, highlighted by an initial draft party to begin the series and the season ending T.I.T.S Team Championship, sponsored by Hooters, where the purse will be in excess of $690 TD.
The charter members of T.I.T.S. will have the opportunity to own their franchises in the series long team events, with the potential to sell shares in that team, giving each member an option to monetize their team’s unique NFT and Name, Image and Likeness rights. No longer will members suffer under the thumb of the PIH TOUR, which seeks to package NIL rights for advertisers for the benefit of the TOUR, and by association the PIH Commissioner, rather than the members themselves. T.I.T.S. will be a member run organization intended for the putters to fully optimize their own earning potential.
T.I.T.S. is also very aware of the allegations of “sportswashing” which have been levied in the press by the PIH TOUR and its Commissioner. Let it be known that the members of T.I.T.S. are putters and not politicians and any allegations of atrocities or human rights violations against the Turkish Regime are better discussed in a political arena, and not on the T.I.T.S. Putting course. We will have no further comment on these alleged atrocities, and expect the press to respect this position.
The inaugural T.I.T.S. event is scheduled at the Island Fun Center at a date TBA. We are excited to announce this partnership with a legendary putting course, known the world over for hosting Major putting events and 8 year old’s birthday parties.
Further T.I.T.S. events will be announced at a later date, but will include visits to Adventure Landing, the Putt A Round (PAR) course in Chautauqua Lake as well as an event staged at the home of the PIH TOUR, the Paddock Golf Dome. That event, known as The PUTTERS, will feature a carnival like atmosphere encouraging fans to take a shot on the island 17th green where a hole in one could earn fans a signed Shawn Conschafter jersey.
We would like to reiterate that this new venture does not seek to divide the putting world, but rather wishes to glorify the benevolence of the Turkish President and offer opportunities for putters to make their own more limited schedule and spend more time with their families (or at Canal Club). We are excited to present this new and innovative putting series to the world and anticipate rousing success as the series will be broadcast on FUBO TV in association with our partners at the Ken Ton Schools AV club.
We hope that putters the world over will join us in welcoming this exciting new product to the putting infrastructure. We hold no ill-will toward the PIH TOUR, but rather seek an opportunity to truly maximize the exposure (and money) available to putters in this new putting ecosystem. The PIH Commisioner is sitting on NIL rights worth well in excess of $4 Billion worldwide and fails to distribute those proceeds to the heartbeat of the organization, the putters. No longer will putters be required to walk a full 18 holes, nor be refused a beer while putting. T.I.T.S. presents its members with opportunities to expand their individual brand and earn a reasonable living while doing so.
T.I.T.S. is able to confirm the participation of the following former Major champions from the putting world, who have agreed to participate in the series long events and have been specifically selected as Team owners:
Shawn Conschafter – Canal Golf Club (CGC)
Michael Mondoux – The Hy Flyers
Chris Wilkinson – Island Lanes Golf Club (ILGC)
James Neville – Aces Golf Club
Joseph Neeson – Niblicks Golf Club
Steven Steck – Putting Athletic
Steve Maziarz – Electric Putting Golf Club
Mark Verost – Old Man Golf
Jay Flemming – Williamsville Putting Society
John Coyle – Falls Putting Association

To fund the league, GIX has created a limited edition NFT trading card collection. A sneak preview was obtained by TMZ and submitted to PIH for inclusion in John Coyle's article. The collection is to go on sale after the new year. Proceeds from the sale of the cards will fund the league and the GIX excessive drinking habits.
