Post-round write-ups from the commissioner

TONAWANDA, NY – Mike Mondoux became the 4th Team Grand Island member to win a Green Jacket in 2024, joining Chris Wilkinson, Justin Bridenbaker, and John Coyle. This is Mondoux's 6th Green Jacket of his career. Unfortunately, for Mondoux, he still sits 41.25 points behind the leader John Coyle.

Heading into the final week of the season, here's what you need to know:

League Championship: John Coyle sits 13.75 points ahead of Tom Barbops and 20.75 points ahead of Chris Wilkinson. Unless these putters take a Luke in week-10, Mondoux, Tim Kazukiewicz, Jay Flemming, and Jeff Hewett will fall short of the overall title. The top-4 putters are paid out.

Survivor Series: Jay Flemming, Jake Donn, and Chris Wilkinson are the three remaining survivors finishing in the money.

Total Holes-in-One: Tom Barbops has 21 Hi1 headed into the last week and is 3 ahead of John Coyle and 5 ahead of Tim Kazukiewicz. And what might be the most surprising stat of them all, Harald Rehm is in 3rd place with 13 aces through 9-weeks. 13 for Harald! That's as many holes-in-one as Dave Richards, Joel Cady, Scott Lis, Dominic LoVallo, Mark Verost, Kevin Wylke, and Jason Cox COMBINED!

KO Keil: To date, Nick and Alex have knocked out 31 of 35 participants and have $62 coming to them. The remaining $288 is up for grabs with Tom Barbops, Chris Wilkinson, Jay Flemming, and John Coyle needing to beat at least one Keil brother one last time.

20th Place Pays Out: Given the final week is worth 2x, it's anyone's guess who will take home the mid-award, but as of today, Jim Randals is sitting in 20th. 10 putters sit within 20 points (plus or minus) of 20th place.

As we head into the PIH Championship, the stakes couldn’t be higher. The leaderboard is tight, the rivalries are fierce, and the pressure is building for Coyle to not crumble one last week. Week-10 promises drama, heartbreak, and maybe even a miracle or two as the final putts determine the league’s champion, Survivor Series winner, and those looking to claim the elusive 20th place payout. Will Barbops out-ace Coyle? Can Wilkinson close the gap? And will the Keil brothers finally meet their match?

Whatever happens on the greens, one thing is for sure: the season finale banquet immediately following the round will be a spectacle. Drinks will flow, Mondoux will tell you how he should-of/could-of, and the new comers will get to meet Jason Cox finally. So, dust off your finest green jacket (or borrow one from someone who has one), and join us to toast the season, the legends, and the ones who just showed up. See you there!
